Initial Incorporation
Lake Mohave Ranchos Community Council, Inc is incorporated
Change of Name
The Lake Mohave Ranchos Community Council, Inc becomes the Dolan Springs Community Council

Due to the vision of forward-thinking residents, the Dolan Springs Community Council, Inc. (DSCC) was incorporated in 1970. At the time known as the Lake Mohave Ranchos Community Council, Inc. These visionaries saw the need for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to be established for charitable and educational purposes to support the Dolan Springs community. As part of its incorporation, the DSCC is tasked with sponsoring Special Events and assisting other non-profits and the Mt. Tipton School with their community activities. Furthermore, the DSCC works with Mohave County and Arizona agencies to improve the lives and environment of Dolan Springs residents and communities.
Over the past 50+ years, the DSCC has consistently served as a vital community hub. It has provided essential social services, including Meals on Wheels and a Senior Lunch program. The DSCC Hall has served as a critical meeting place for local groups like the Crafters, Scouts, and AA, and for Arizona and U.S. agencies to update the community on available services. The Council is also active in civic engagement, having hosted an Agency Resource Fair, Road Clean-up efforts, educational and social workshops, and a “Meet and Greet the Candidates” Night. In times of crisis, the DSCC has been designated by the Red Cross as a Command Center in case of an emergency.
The DSCC has also played a crucial role in supporting other community institutions. It hosted Town Hall Meetings regarding the Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire District (LMRFD) and the moves of the National Bank of Arizona and Mt. Tipton High School. For many years, the Spanish Church held its services at the DSCC Hall. After two local churches suffered fire damage, the DSCC offered their members a temporary meeting place for church services and the weekly Christian Children’s Club. Finally, continuing a cherished local tradition, the DSCC has hosted a free community Christmas Dinner for the last 16 years.
